CompTIA Communities are the foundation of the Association’s initiatives, programs, education and research. These member-driven groups collaborate to advance specific technologies, vertical markets or business segments that are vital to the IT industry.

CompTIA Community members include IT professionals, vendors, distributors and thought leaders who work together on the issues and programs that will shape the future of the IT industry.


 

Dedicated to empowering women with the knowledge and skills necessary to help their pursuit of successful IT careers, as well as to inspire women to enter the IT field as a career choice. The community is a vital information resource, provides mentorship and networking opportunities, develops member-driven initiatives and programs, is active in legislation involving women and careers, and is actively involved in pursing the overall objectives of the CompTIA – ECAP (education, certification, advocacy and philanthropy).

This newly forming community is striving to develop standards, best practices and educational resources for IT businesses developing and/or growing their existing healthcare solutions practice. This is especially true with small entrepreneurs, who are typically technology focused and have a great need for industry and business knowledge that can help them address the challenges they face on the path to growth and success. The IT Business Growth Professionals (BGPs) Community focuses on creating more awareness of BGPs, advancing the professionalism of BGPs, and creating best practices and tools for working with clients.

CompTIA Councils

CompTIA advisory councils represent specific IT industry channel segments or professions.

The Partner 500 Advisory Council solicits input from the 500 largest solution providers, typically with annual sales volumes of more than $25 million.

The Vendor Advisory Council gathers input from hardware manufacturers and software vendors who have in-depth channel knowledge.

The IT Law Council brings together legal thought leaders in the global IT industry to identify and discuss prevalent legal issues in IT, and collectively work toward solutions.
