INVITATION

CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, in partnership with ITA, the Information Technology Association is pleased to invite you to its first South African INNOVATION FORUM (IF) at The Castle Kyalami Hotel & Conference Centre.

In its transition to a knowledge-based society and with its vision to promote a better life for all, the South African government views ICT as integral to economic development and central to its poverty alleviation strategies.

Fundamental to the growth and success of the ICT sector is the development of a culture of innovation
and entrepreneurship which requires the appropriate legislative framework and market conditions supported by substantial research and development.

The purpose of the South African Innovation Forum is to spotlight national policies in key areas of the ICT industry, such as Intellectual Property, industry based open and multiple standards, e-skills and workforce development. It is also a meeting ground for industry, regulators and media to develop and discuss workable innovative strategies for South Africa’s ICT industry.

The South African Innovation Forum follows the success of similar awareness-raising events in Lisbon, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Warsaw and Copenhagen.
