"INNOVATION FOR GROWTH AND EMPLOYMENT IN EUROPE"

CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, is pleased to invite you to its next Innovation Forum, at the Hilton Hotel, Mohrenstraße 30, on 20th June 2007, from 11:00 - 17:00.

Since January 2007 all eyes are on Berlin as Germany has taken over the Presidencies of both the EU and the G8. Berlin has set out important initiatives for industry innovation and technological advancement, emphasising the promotion of innovative capability through better protection of intellectual property rights, improved access to education and training, and in particular increased focus on SMEs.

The 2007 Berlin European Innovation Forum is organised by CompTIA in cooperation with the "Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft" (BVDW), the German Association for the Digital Economy, and "IT Fitness", the German chapter of the "European Alliance on Skills for Employability".

The Berlin Innovation Forum follows on to the successful Forums held in Warsaw, Copenhagen and Prague in 2005 and 2006.

The European Innovation Forums spotlight local, national and European innovative policies in the key areas for the ICT industry, such as intellectual property, industry-based open and multiple standards, e-skills and work-force development. These Forums are essential meeting ground for industry, regulators, and media to develop and discuss workable innovative strategies for Europe's ICT industry.
