The CompTIA UK Channel Community was launched in early 2011 following the acquisition of Technology Channels Association (TCA). The community was formed in an effort to provide a platform for resellers, distributors, and vendors to focus on developing best practices, business education and resources for companies engaged in the delivery of IT services in the UK.

Community Goals

  • Provide a voice for the concerns, issues and positions of UK members that is not US-centric
  • Provide participants with face-to-face and online networking opportunities, as well as pursue common goals for the industry through the development of association funded and/or managed initiatives
  • Understand how CompTIA can best serve the members within the UK IT channel

Current member-driven initiatives

  • Develop a UK-specific organisational credential and/or trustmark to help identify quality IT businesses within the UK
  • Localise the CompTIA Member Resource Centre for UK members
  • Build an online portal that acts as a one-stop information repository for all IT vendor partner and MDF programs

Community News

UK Channel Community Staff Leader

William Linard is the UK Channel Community manager for CompTIA, an international technology services professional and a proponent of the IT channel. He is responsible for facilitating meetings, organizing discussions and supporting group initiatives with CompTIA resources.

A graduate of Sheffield Hallam University, Linard has served several roles at CompTIA and brings a wealth of project, event, and collaboration experience to the community management team. In addition to being a passionate Tottenham Hotspurs fan, he also enjoys golfing and tinkering with technology in his free time. You can contact William at wlinard@comptia.org.
