Nick Tidd brings nearly a quarter century of experience in information technology, along with valuable achievements in channel-based marketing and sales. His fresh perspective, new ideas and proven strategies, along with an experienced, proven and handpicked leadership team are adding new vitality to the organization by putting special emphasis on driving success in the mid-market and enterprise environments while continuing to support the small-to-medium business (SMB) and small office/home office (SOHO) customer.

Prior to joining D-Link, Tidd was vice president of worldwide sales for 3Com Corporation where he was responsible for managing 3Com’s go-to-market channel sales strategy supporting 107,000 global resellers. His other senior strategic management positions were with Save Rite Technologies (SRT), Antares Electronics and asap Computer Products.

Under Tidd’s direction, D-Link North America has not only shown growth, but has significantly improved operations, resulting in increased margins and better profitability. This progress is also attributed to the region’s recent moves that include key investments in personnel, revamping the sales structure and field engineering support, while building entirely new field and solutions marketing operations.

After joining D-Link in 2008 as general manager of Canada’s business solution sales, he was promoted in May 2009 to the dual roles of vice president of sales for D-Link Pan America and vice president of marketing for D-Link North America. Since then, he has focused on making operations more efficient and on selling customer-centric solutions, while fostering a sense of empowerment and accountability among employees. Tidd recently was named by CRN as a top 2010 Channel Chief and is listed as a “Top 25 Channel Maverick” by ChannelWeb.

In addition to his responsibilities at D-Link, Tidd enjoys sharing his entrepreneurial perspective and expertise on a number of corporate boards of directors. Tidd resides with his wife in Huntington Beach, CA.
