Assessment

Our partner, MeasureUp, provides two kinds of assessments:

A Technical Aptitude Test that measures an individual's aptitude level to determine if he or she is suited for a career in IT. This would be given to a candidate who has used technology, but has never had any formal training in computer technology. Based on this score, case workers will know whether to move forward with computer technology training for the individual.
A certification skills assessment that would be given to a candidate who has already had training on the skills covered in the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ exams, but has not taken or passed the exam. Individuals with high scores on an assessment could proceed to take the certification exam without any more formal training. Individuals with low results on an assessment should be directed to a community college or training provider to take an IT training course on the certification.
