CompTIA CTT+™ Certification

CompTIA CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) certification validates excellence in instruction.  It is a vendor-neutral certification that is applicable to training professionals in all industries.  CompTIA CTT+ recognizes the mastery of core instructor skills, including preparation, presentation, communication, facilitation and evaluation in both a classroom and virtual classroom environment. CompTIA CTT+ validates the skills necessary to teach a variety of subjects, including:

  • Graphic and Web design
  • Pharmaceutical science
  • Adult education, such as firefighting
  • Accounting
  • Sales and customer service
  • Music or vocational studies

Certified instructors are essential for students who want to receive top-notch training, and employers agree that a professional training staff is valuable to the company. Adobe, Dell, Microsoft, Novell and Ricoh recommend that their trainers be CompTIA CTT+ certified. The Training Associates also look for CompTIA CTT+ certification when hiring trainers.

Candidates interested in earning CompTIA CTT+ with the Classroom Trainer designation should take CompTIA CTT+ Essentials and submit a video recording of a classroom training session (CompTIA CTT+ TK0-202).

Individuals that would like to earn CompTIA CTT+ with the Virtual Classroom Trainer designation should take CompTIA CTT+ Essentials and submit a recording of a virtual classroom training session (CompTIA CTT+ TK0-203).

Trainers can be CompTIA CTT+ certified with both designations by taking CompTIA CTT+ Essentials and then completing both CompTIA CTT+ TK0-202 and TK0-203 performance-based exams.
