Tim Herbert Tim Herbert

Tim HerbertTim Herbert serves as vice president of research for CompTIA, where he directs market research studies and analysis to promote the growth of the IT industry. He is a data junky who works to "connect the dots" and make sense of the ever-changing technology landscape. Mr. Herbert regularly pens articles for industry publications, presents at industry conferences and has been cited in numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and The Wall Street Journal.

Prior to joining CompTIA, Mr. Herbert directed the research department of a prominent tech trade association. During his nearly 13-year tenure, he helped build a world-class research function, renowned for its innovative use of research methodologies and analysis techniques to produce game-changing research for the consumer technology industry. During his career, Mr. Herbert has also served as managing director for a boutique custom research and analysis firm.

Mr. Herbert holds a bachelor's degree in economics from John Carroll University and an MBA from George Mason University.
