Nancy Hammervik 
As senior vice president, industry relations, for CompTIA, Nancy Hammervik is responsible for elevating the association's public profile among its membership and across the IT industry. She is the principal liaison between members and the association; helps shape CompTIA educational programs and association initiatives for the IT channel; and acts as an advocate on behalf of members and the broader industry.
Ms. Hammervik joined CompTIA in 2011 after a 20-plus year career with Everything Channel, a top provider of IT channel-focused events, media, research, consulting and sales and marketing services. Most recently, she was senior vice president, events, at Everything Channel and was responsible for the company's entire events business. She led the sales, marketing, recruitment, content and event production strategies for the events business. Her event portfolio focused on large scale, regional, community, virtual and custom events that brought together leading executives in the high tech industry. Participants included vendors, distributors, channel partners, retail organizations, CIOs and IT management. She also brought together IT buyers and sellers in Latin America, Eastern and Western Europe.
Prior to her events role, Ms. Hammervik was national director of classified advertising sales for CMP Media. She managed the sales, marketing and production teams for two leading high tech trade publications: CRN and VARBusiness.
During her tenure at Everything Channel, Ms. Hammervik founded Channel@Work, a corporate charitable initiative that allows members of the high tech industry to give back to local communities. Projects included the construction of new housing; student mentoring and training programs; technology makeovers for schools; and technical and financial support for wounded military personnel and families of deployed troops.
Ms. Hammervik is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she received a bachelor's degree in marketing.
