Help us further our mission to drive the IT industry forward by shaping the future of the IT channel in Australia. Register now and be part of the conversation.

CompTIA is turning the focus down under on November 12, hosting the inaugural Australian Community Meeting in Sydney. This meeting — free to attend for all solution providers, vendors and distributors working in the IT channel — is being held to help to further our mission of driving the IT industry forward.

In 2013, the Economist ranked Australia the second best country in the world to be born, second only to Switzerland. The rankings were based on the country’s economy, education and healthcare. In a similar study, four of Australia’s cities were ranked in the Top 10 of the most livable cities in the world. If this wasn’t impressive enough, its English speaking and well-educated population, vibrant economy and healthy tech sector make Australia a logical choice for CompTIA to work with industry to further its mission.

By establishing a channel community in Australia, we will help identify common challenges and address key pain points the Australian IT Channel. As a vendor-neutral, well-funded nonprofit trade association, CompTIA is uniquely positioned to do this without vendor bias or profit motive. But we can’t do this alone — we need you.

When you participate in CompTIA’s Australian Community, you help direct our collective efforts for the greatest possible good. In addition to building world-leading certifications, CompTIA has a long history in the U.S., Canada and UK of working with its communities to develop business credentials, education, research and philanthropic programs focused on the region’s IT needs. We need your help shaping these programs for Australia.

Getting involved in a community means you benefit from learning about the latest trends in IT and networking with industry thought leaders. As a CompTIA community member, you will have the privilege of discussing common concerns with peers. I have witnessed numerous times the power of community, where a business owner struggling with a problem discovers there are many others who have struggled with and overcome the same problem. We are stronger together than we are apart.

Our community meeting lineup includes a keynote on the state of the industry, followed by an Australian perspectives panel. We will also walk through Managed Services best practices from our channel education program. The heart of the meeting will contain peer-to-peer best practice sharing and discussion on community objectives for 2015. In the afternoon, our vendor members will hold breakouts to meet with customers and prospective partners. We will round the day out with time of networking as we toast to our collective success.

For all of the reasons above, I enthusiastically invite you to register and join us in Sydney on November 12 to work with us as we drive the Australian IT industry forward. For more information on how to get involved, please send me an email at [email protected].
