CompTIA Extends Associate Membership Offer to HTG Peer Groups Members
Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., Dec. 15, 2009 – CompTIA, the leading trade association for the information technology (IT) industry, announced today it is offering special associate membership to the members of HTG Peer Groups, an international peer group organization of IT solution providers.
HTG members have the opportunity to join CompTIA as an associate member for one year for just $49. Associate membership gives them access to a wide range of networking opportunities, educational programs, certification and accreditation options, research and other CompTIA programs and services.
“Our members will benefit greatly from the ability to evaluate the many CompTIA programs, services and resources,” stated Arlin Sorensen, CEO, HTG Peer Groups. “The vast majority of solution providers are not fully aware of the extensive reach of the CompTIA offering. This partnership affords them the opportunity to determine which have the most benefit for them. Given the peer power of HTG they will also share amongst their groups those offerings that are truly transformational to their business.”
“Our industry thrives when its brightest minds come together to tackle common problems and work together on solutions,” said Dan Liutikas, senior vice president, industry relations, CompTIA. “Opening our doors to industry organizations such as HTG Peer Groups is the latest example of the new CompTIA, where collaboration is welcomed, new ideas are embraced and growth and success for the entire industry is the goal.”
Among the programs HTG Peer Groups members can access are CompTIA member communities and special interest groups where they can network with like-minded executives, enjoy community-specific content and shape the direction of the groups. CompTIA's member communities and special interest groups include IT Services and Support, Managed Services, Managed Print Services, Cloud/SaaS, Security, Health IT and Open Source.
Other benefits and services available to HTG members include:
• Free business tools and templates
• VAR/MSP-specific educational tracks and best practices
• Discounts on CompTIA IT certifications and business accreditations
• Free registration for CompTIA Breakaway, North America's premier IT channel event
• Discounts on other CompTIA events
• Access to valuable industry research
• Networking opportunities with other CompTIA members
